Your Questions About Windows Simulators

Carol asks…

Will Microsoft Flight Simulator for Vista run on Windows 7?

Tried it and it doesn’t on mine. Anyone know how to get it going on windows 7? thanks for info
Thanks! false alarm ….got it to work with various download or updates or something…not sure what but its working fine now. Just flew a jet into Scotland and landed on the runway!!! neat!!!

PCFlightSimulator answers:

FSX is #NOT# for v!$t0
FSX is DX9 (mostly, the DX10 support doesn’t work properly if @ all) which is supported under v!$t0 & se7en mostly for compatibility reasons.
It should run in se7en just as well as it does on v!$t0.
If it doesn’t, post the specifics of the problem(s) you are encountering.

Great :)
welcome to the world of flight (simulation)

Linda asks…

Is Windows 2000 good for gaming?

I have 16GB of DDR3 RAM and a SSD and i7!

Is it good for Flight Simulator? Or should I get Windows 98 for maximum performance?

PCFlightSimulator answers:

Windows 7 64 bit dude! Compatible to any new games!
Lol windows 2000

James asks…

If you have a 64 bit windows OS will you’re 32 bit programs not work?

I am thinking of getting a new computer, but most operating systems are going to 64 bit and all of my games like Flight simulator 9 are 32 bit.
Will I have to get all new programs?

PCFlightSimulator answers:

Your programs should work fine. I’m running Vista 64 and I have had no problems running any games or other programs (and I have at least 50 or 60 of them and the vast majority are 32 bit). I would definitely go with a 64 bit OS so you can use as much RAM as you want.

Donna asks…

Will Windows 7 Upgrade delete my files?

I have now purchased a windows 7 upgrade but i dont want to install it just yet because i dont want my files to be erased. For example, all of my flight simulator aircraft and files. Will they all be deleted or will windows 7 just install without deleting everything?

PCFlightSimulator answers:

I am a tech agent of over 10 years of fixing and using computers i can tell you that windows 7 upgrade will not delete any of your files if you follow the the link below and follow the instrution on how to install windows 7 upgrade and you will be fine but please backup all important data to disk.before trying this as of many errors can happen. Also one more thing if you are running windows xp and trying to upgrade you will have to do a clean install.
