Chris asks…
will microsoft ever come out with flight simulator 11?

PCFlightSimulator answers:
I say yes.

Charles asks…
Can you simulate what happened on 9/11 in Flight Simulator 2004?
I was juist wondering if you can simulate the events that happened on Sep. 11, 2001, and if anybody has already done it. Thanks RIP to the people who died and that horrible day

PCFlightSimulator answers:
The WTC towers are no longer in the New York scenery in FS 2004, so you can’t simulate that part. They were removed in FS 2002 by an update patch as well.
As far as the flight movements themselves are concerned, you can certainly simulate that. However, crash simulation in Microsoft Flight Simulator is extremely simple (a cloud of smoke and the simulation stops), so if you are looking for spectacular special effects, you’ll be disappointed.
The purpose of Microsoft Flight Simulator is to simulate successful, safe flying, not crashes. The simulation handles the flying part well, and crashes are pretty much ignored, since it is assumed that users want to fly, not to crash—why put a lot of effort into simulating something that users are going to avoid, anyway?
Usually the only people who crash over and over in Flight Simulator are little kids who can’t be bothered to learn how to fly correctly. Almost everyone else tries to land without crashing, and with sufficient practice and study, you can land safely every time, just as in real life.

Maria asks…
Did you ever predict 9/11 with Microsoft Flight Simulator?
Before 9/11, I would often play Microsoft Flight Simulator 98. I would sometimes crash large passenger planes into buildings for fun. I distinctly remember crashing planes into the World Trade Center. Have there been any other examples of people who predicted 9/11 with video games?

PCFlightSimulator answers:
Lol No, but if I had the Flight Simulator, I’m positive I would’ve crashed planes into plenty of buildings.

Mark asks…
Will flight simulator 11 (after FSX) allow us to go to mars etc.?
I think it would be awesome if flight simulator took it to space even further. Sure in FSX you can go to space around the Earth but wouldn’t it be awesome to go to Mars or Venus in a space shuttle? Sure it would take up a lot of space maybe up to 100gb since the graphics would be even better and mapping out so many planets would take up a lot too but that would be an amazing game. They could add Space Shuttles we’ve flown now and in the past to the plane roster and add missions to use them to go to Mars or Venus etc. If they mapped out the entire know solar system or up to Pluto and it’s moons that would be incredible. They could keep the models for future Flight sims and just upgrade the graphics on them saving them time in the future and release expansions to add more of the solar system into it if they wanted or if we discovered more planets/moons. If they allowed us to at least go to the moon that would be an incredible improvement and make the game even more valuable. Come on Microsoft you have a golden opportunity here to bring in more customers who are interested in space and get yourself even more money and make us even more happy!!!

PCFlightSimulator answers:
Hmmm… Well microsoft flight simulator is more focused on civil aviation. If they wanted to they could make it work.. But like you said it would take tons of space… No pun intended.
There was once a space simulator, look here http://www.planetmic.com/orbit/spasim01.htm
but i don’t think it worked out sooo good cause if people were buying it then they would have kept making new ones.
Xplane is a flight simulator and has mars but i think that’s about it.
Good luck finding what you want

Laura asks…
Microsoft Flight Simulator 11 release date?

PCFlightSimulator answers:
I searched around on the internet for awhile regarding your question and found this from some guy “Are you looking for MS flight simulator 2011 or do you just want a new flight sim? Well, you better hold off on Microsoft, it seems there is a new player in town called flight sim pro. Microsoft has always been my number one pick in flight sims, but Microsoft’s flight simulator 2011 is still not released. I have also heard they are going to be basing it off of there same old game structure.”
Maybe you should try flight sim pro instead, might be better then simulator 11, though i’ve heard it might be kinda expensive wich made me dissapointed cause i want to buy it WHEN it comes.
Another thing i came across during my research was another simulator game wich looks kinda cool (havent tried it yet) but i think i will buy it though since $49 isnt that expensive :p, anyway it called proflightsimulator.
